When the devil received the news that there was a guy walking around "upstairs" spreading the good news about life his assistant asked for instruction, "how do we defeat this do gooder?" the devil replied, "that's easy, just send a few people up there to help organise it" - and that's the origin of religion....
Sometimes the entrepreneur can't believe that they created something out of nothing, so, they look for the formula, a way to clone their process. Some can be, but most, like religion, just screws up a good thing... thinking different is what causes real profits and business, not cloning Steve Jobs or sitting in an MBA - that just creates ME TOO and an average profit of 10-15%. Think different is also a key in art.... I like space. It feels good to have space. I used to think standing on top of a mountain was how I got space but now I don’t. Now I stand in a crowded room and I have space.
Space starts off as a very physical thing. We say give me space and we mean give me distance. If somebody is invading your space it’s because they are too close. This sort of space is important space but it’s all so clumsy and physical but we have to run on holidays or escape to the beach to feel it. Space can come any time we want once we know how. What happens when you turn convention on its head and look a the world from a totally different perspective? It's an exercise in opening the mind by turning expectations upside down. For a business, working hand in hand with nature you create something inspirational starting with people and ending with clients instead of the other way around. It's a unique culture where products carry a special essence and it's a culture that's more profitable than a competitor who goes down a conventional path. Innerwealth turns convention on its head and looks at the world from a totally different persecutive. Happy to say that there's now a second train of podcasts from me ... this one is the Innerwealth - Life Mastery Series and should be exciting to listen to... please enjoy .... http://itunes.apple.com/au/podcast/my-podcast/id506875908 This week has been a fascinating week.
The first piece of fascination was the discovery in a Fast Company article about research that suggests that entrepreneurs really don't want the balance in life they are asking for. The article and research suggested that imbalance, the status quo, is what entrepreneurs love. Their passion for their work is life consuming and it is from this wholehearted investment that they create their lifestyle and family. It may just be that many entrepreneurs are confused about what they really want and if left without social pressure, they would choose to work hard, regardless. The second piece of fascination was the development of a deeper understanding of the differences between optimism, pessimism, realism and natures law. I presented this in an article in a way that I had not understood before. This is one of the great benefits of writing, the exploration of ideas, and sharing. Our whole new understanding of ways to communicate the differences between different cultural levels of thought. The third piece of fascination was to see one of my old books rise in the Amazon bestseller list. There is nothing unique about this book in my book series but for some reason through viral marketing, it's taken off this month around the world. Coaching highlights this week: Hi Chris here,
This week another 30 day challenge group have completed the program and are now out in the big wide world doing what they love. Congratulations to; David, Mary, Diane, Malcolm, Rob, Shane, Pauline. The week was brisk and fun. It started briskly with enquiries from Canada and the USA for speaking engagements. I've also progressed the new book with another chapter drafted. Another five enquiries arrived for Nepal treks making a total of fifty people on the "maybe list" for May. This is normal and sometimes it even reaches 1oo with no commitments. It's a big trip and it's a dream so I don't try to pressure people to sign up. I just let it all unfold as it isn't a part of my profit making work, I simply love taking people there. Last week, coaching continued for a group of 27 entrepreneurs who have me on their coaching team. It's a great privilege to work with such amazing and inspired individuals. Teaching the World a New Way to Think is a great joy. I am so lucky to be given the gift to share it. Nature's Law is now finding voice in new books and blogs globally. Old clients report an increasing awareness amongst younger entrepreneurs and leaders. It's a real heartfelt feedback for what we've done. Complexity is defined as imbalanced thinking. The more complex the situation the less balance we see. As the world is becoming more complex the need for a different way of seeing things is increasing. Finding balance is the key. This contradicts most conventional thought process often and is highly resisted by individuals whose ambition it is to seek adrenaline hype through every decision they make. At Innerwealth we have developed a sophisticated hand written balance form to help retrain those minds who are struggling to adapt. |
