HOW TO BE DUMBER, HOW TO BE MORE GRUMPY. HOW TO FAIL - SLEEP LESS

Probably nothing that you don't already know. Bad Sleep = Bad Mood. But it also impacts how smart you are, how you handle life and what happens when you get behind the wheel of a bike or car.

 

With young kids, a big job, plenty of worries you're going to lose sleep. With all of the above, you're going to lose it often. Only you can be accountable for it. Only you can grab a cat nap or excuse yourself when the tiredness impacts you. One thing you do know for sure, sleeping in, doesn't fix it and exercise can.

 

Meditation is touted as a waking up sleep process. But I'm going to say it again, bull shit. Meditation is not a substitute nor a remedy for lost sleep. Nor is it an antidote for worry and other mental dumbness. Meditation is important, but not sitting like the Buddha with your eyes shut. Meditation, at the level you and I are ready for is better done, chopping wood, carrying water, writing emails and jogging. In other words, meditation is life done well.

 

So, enjoy the video and respect the zzzzzzzzzzz sleep. Detox electronics 1 hr before bed, don't eat within 4 hrs of sleep, avoid liquids before bed because they make you sleep light, and have lots of sex before and after sleep (it doesn't help but I thought you'd like it if I said it)
